Many states are planning on drastically different elections this year and mail-in ballots could be a big game changer.

A nearly two-week old video of Bernie Sanders is making its way around social media again this week – but why?

In the clip, from the Vermont senator’s Oct. 23 appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Sanders answers Fallon’s question about when he thinks a winner will be announced in the 2020 presidential race.

And his response is an astonishing play-by-play of what has unfolded this week, prompting Twitter users to share the clip in which he “predicted it all.”

“You’re going to have a situation, I suspect, in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, other states, where they are going to be receiving huge amounts of mail-in ballots,” Sanders explained. “Unlike states like Florida or Vermont, they’re not able — for bad reasons — to begin processing those ballots until Election Day, or maybe when the polls close. That means you’re going to have states dealing with perhaps millions of mail-in ballots.”

As of Thursday, two days after Election Day, Pennsylvania is still waiting on mail-in votes to be counted, with an estimate of 89% of votes counted.

“It could well be that at 10 o’clock on election night, Trump is winning in Michigan, he’s winning in Pennsylvania, he’s winning in Wisconsin,” Sanders continues. “And he gets on the television and he says, ‘Thank you, Americans, for reelecting me. It’s all over. Have a good day.'”

President Donald Trump did falsely claim he had won the election in a speech around 2:30 a.m. ET Wednesday.

“But then the next day, and the day following, all those mail-in ballots start getting counted, and it (could) turn out that Biden has won those states,” Sanders predicated. “At which point, Trump says, ‘See? I told you the whole thing was fraudulent. I told you those mail-in ballots were crooked, and we’re not going to leave office.'”

Similar to what Sanders said, Biden did end up winning in Michigan and Wisconsin, and the Trump campaign has announced that it is pursuing court actions to stop ballot counting in Pennsylvania.

Sanders concluded: “That is a worry that I and a lot of other people have.”

Twitter users shared the clip in amazement.

“So… Bernie Sanders is a wizard then? He predicted It all!” user @Femi_Sorry tweeted with the video.

“The genius of @BernieSanders nailed this months ago,” user @MSalimu said.

“Wow this clip was very interesting to watch…. @BernieSanders was pretty much spot with how the US election has gone so far,” user @kanedallow tweeted.
