Former FBI Director James Comey said President Trump would’ve been charged with obstruction if he wasn’t president, during a CNN town hall broadcast.

That’s not President Donald Trump in the trailer for Showtime’s “The Comey Rule.” Really. We promise.

Irish actor Brendan Gleeson sheds his brogue for a Trump voice that puts Alec Baldwin’s “Saturday Night Live” impression to shame in the first full trailer for Showtime’s “Comey Rule.” The miniseries, premiering this fall, dramatizes the events around the 2016 presidential election and aftermath, and the role of former FBI Director James Comey (Jeff Daniels) in shaping history.

Audiences first saw Gleeson’s turn as the president, which features his vocal impression as well as a blond wig, in a teaser trailer in July, but Monday’s full trailer gives fans a more detailed look at his character in action, along with Daniels’ version of Comey.

The trailer shows recognizable events from the 2016 campaign and the early days of Trump’s presidency, including the FBI’s investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails, the investigation into Russian interference into the election, and the private dinner and phone calls between Trump and Comey that the former FBI director testified about to Congress.

“This was not espionage. This was an attack,” Daniels’ Comey says in the trailer, which claims “you don’t know half the story.”

In a sit-down dinner between Comey and Trump, Gleeson’s Trump says “I need loyalty. I expect loyalty.”

By the end of the trailer, Gleeson’s Trump reaches a conclusion about Comey: “He’s a bad guy. He’s a dishonest guy.”

In addition to Gleeson and Daniels, the series features a slew of recognizable Hollywood stars as political figures from recent history. The cast includes Holly Hunter as former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Michael Kelly (“House of Cards”) as former FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Scoot McNairy as former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Jonathan Banks (“Better Call Saul”) as former National Intelligence Director James Clapper, Peter Coyote (“The Disappearance”) as former FBI Director Robert Mueller and Kingsley Ben-Adir (“High Fidelity”) as President Barack Obama.

“The Comey Rule” will air as a two-night event on Showtime, Sunday, Sept. 27 and Monday, Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. EDT/PDT.
