The Democratic National Convention is all online for the first time. So how can you watch it for free?

This year’s Democratic National Convention, which was originally set to take place in Milwaukee, has gone virtual because of the coronavirus pandemic. 

The convention is scheduled to kick off Monday and run until Thursday. The main programming begins at 9 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. ET.

Joe Biden is expected to accept his party’s nomination on Thursday evening from the Chase Center on the Riverfront in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.

Livestream

You can watch the official livestream of the Democratic National Convention or on the websites of any of the major TV and cable news networks. The three major broadcast networks – ABC, CBS and NBC – and Fox News will air the convention on all four nights from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. You can catch the full program on CNN, C-SPAN, PBS or MSNBC. 

Apps

Hulu and ABC News Live are airing live convention footage for all Hulu viewers at no additional cost. You can also search for “DNC” on Amazon Prime Video if you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber. Sling TV, Fubo TV, Philo, YouTube TV and AT&T TV Now will also stream the convention.

You can also download an app to your smart TV, Apple TV, Fire TV or Roku. Search “2020 DNC” in the apps section. Or on streaming devices, news service Newsy will be providing live coverage on its app on Wednesday and Thursday.
