This house was built about a block south of its current address and moved in the early 1900s. The first owner, George C. Pape, was also the proprietor of the Berkeley Planing Mill, an association the Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association credits for the intricacy of the home’s exterior ornamentation. A previous owner began the restoration process continued by the sellers; in addition to updating the kitchen, bathrooms and HVAC systems, many of the original decorative details were restored or replicated.

The kitchen’s center island has space for dining, and a breakfast nook is tucked into the far corner. Appliances, including a built-in range and double oven, are stainless steel.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms off a wide landing with built-in bookcases.
